APPOINTMENT OF A SERVICE PROVIDER OR INDIVIDUALS TO MARK AND MODERATE THE LEARNER SCRIPTS FOR EXTERNAL INTEGRATED SUMMATIVE ASSESSMENTS (EISA) FOR OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATE: SOCIAL AUXILIARY WORKER (SAW)

APPOINTMENT OF SUBJECT MATTER EXPERTS (SMEs) TO MARK AND MODERATE THE EISA LEARNER SCRIPTS FOR THE OCCUPATIONAL QUALIFICATION:

REQUIREMENTS:

  • An understanding of the occupational qualifications sub-Frameworks (OQSF).
  • Teaching knowledge and experience in Social Auxiliary Worker
  • Previous work in Social Auxiliary Worker and examination setting.
  • An understanding of how occupational qualifications are developed and implemented.
  • Experience in the marking of assessment instruments/Tools.
  • Experience in moderating assessment instruments for Social Auxiliary Worker.
  • Knowledge of the Social Services and Health Sector needs and the specific skills required by stakeholders.
  • Background on the occupational qualification Social Auxiliary Worker.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Degree in Social Auxiliary Worker

Experience:

  •  2 years in Social Auxiliary Worker
  •  2 years in marking and/or moderating assessment instruments
  • Contactable references for assessment marking and moderating

Professional registration:

  • Registered with applicable professional/regulatory body (SACSSSP)

Sector experience:

  • Prior work with HWSETA, QCTO, or related sector bodies

 

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS TO ACCOMPANY THE APPLICATION:

  • Application letter (clearly specifying what one is applying for e.g.)
  • Curriculum Vitae (CV) reference to Education within Social Auxiliary Worker
  • Two references on assessment instruments marked /moderated
  • Diploma or Degree in Social Auxiliary Worker
  • Teaching qualification in Social Auxiliary Worker
  • Proof of Central Systems Database (CSD)
  • A valid Tax pin
  • A valid BBBEE certificate
  • An SBD form
  • Quotation of the required services (marking or moderation or both)

FUNCTIONALITY REQUIREMENTS

Note: that bids will be evaluated on functionality separately first. Bids scoring less that 70% on functionality will not be further considered in the evaluation and will be disqualified.

      Dear Nolitha

      Kindly be informed that HWSETA does not recruit students for any funded programmes. HWSETA advertises funding on an annual basis to HWSETA-registered public and private Employers; the Department of Health and Social Development, private hospitals, clinics, and administers partnerships with TVET Colleges and Public Universities in South Africa. The qualification / Learning Programme pursued should fall within the scope of the health and social development sector.

      The applications are currently open, closing 20 February 2026.

      Please note that once the Employers, TVET Colleges, and Universities are approved for funding, they recruit beneficiaries. The communication and coordination are done through the Employers, Public Universities, and Public TVET Colleges.
