Important Notification: WSP Extension

May 25, 2020

In terms of the SETA Grant Regulations, an application for Mandatory Grant must be submitted to SETAs by 30 April of each year. Sub-regulation 4(8) gives a SETA Accounting Authority the power to grant an extension to a levy-paying Employer of up to a maximum period of a one-month. The HWSETA has these provisions in the Mandatory grants and Discretionary grants policies of the HWSETA.

In line with the President of the Republic of South Africa’s declaration of a national lockdown for 21 days due to the Covid-19 epidemic, the HWSETA requests employers to apply for an extension before 30 April 2020. The HWSETA Board will review the applications and where justified will grant the extension in line with legislation.

We thank all employers that have already submitted and encourage others to follow suit and not delay.

For more queries, please contact the WSP Manager Mr. Mlulamisi Mhlanga Mlulamisim@hwseta.org.za ; Ms. Motsidisi Marera motshidisim@hwseta.org.za ; Mr. Sifiso Ngwenya sifison@hwseta.org.za

    • Wendy Tembe says:

      Dear Lindokuhle

Kindly note that HWSETA does not recruit students / beneficiaries directly for any funded programmes. HWSETA advertise funding on an annual basis to HWSETA registered Employers and once they approved for funding they advertise to recruit students. Kindly enquire with department of social development in your area and enquire with them on when do they advertise for such funded opportunities. HWSETA advertise funded opportunities around May- June each year.

Trust you will find this note in order

      Think you
      Regards
