HWSETA Call for Expression of Interest 2022-2023

The following Expressions of Interest (EOIs) for 2022-2023 are currently open and the HWSETA invites all registered employers who submitted the WSP/ATR 2021-2022 or 2022-2023 to apply:

• Adult Education and Training Programme – 2022-2023.
• Bursary Programme for workers – 2022-2023.
• Funding for Lecturer Development Programme – 2022-2023.
• Funding for Work Integrated Learning for University students – 2022-2023.
• Workplace experience for TVET college learners – 2022-2023.
• Bursaries for vocational training (Occupational qualifications) – 2022-2023.
• Bursary Programme for unemployed persons – 2022-2023.
• Funding for Small & Micro Enterprises and Levy Exempt organisations – 2022-2023.
• Funding for Internship Programme for university graduates – 2022-2023.
• Funding for Skills Programmes – 2022-2023.
• Funding for Artisans and Technicians Programme – 2022-2023.
• Funding for occupationally directed learnership programme – 2022-2023.

Please note that the closing date for each EOI is 10 June 2022. Employers are encouraged to apply early as applications will be assessed as they are received

          The EOI are meant for Employers already registered with HWSETA. If not registered the first route is the T-number application and compliance with all required documents.

HWSETA advertise funding to HWSETA registered Employers and once they are approved for funding they advertise to recruit beneficiaries. Kindly enquire with Employers offering this Learnesrhip, for clarity. You can enquire with the department health or private Employers like Clicks Retails and Dis-chem and the Training Providers offering the programme. Visit their websites and check for information.

      Thank you for the mail, kindly be on a look out when Employers advertise these opportunities. HWSETA advertised these opportunities to HWSETA registered Employers in May this year. HWSETA will advertise again next year. HWSETA does not recruit learners directly for any funded programmes but HWSETA advertise funding to HWSETA registered Employers and once they are approved for funding they advertise to recruit beneficiaries. HWSETA Employers are the department of health and social development depending on the learnership you want to pursue.

    I applied for the HWSETA bursary via my university (University of Johannesburg) earlier this year before closing date together with other deserving students approved by our HoD. To date, we have not received any response from our HoD as we submitted our applications directly to her, and the year is almost over, I am doing my final year at my institution with no funding. Are our applications still in progress or unsuccessful?

    I would like to enquire about the bursary application outcomes. I, together with other students who applied for the bursary before the closing date on June 30. We submitted our application forms to our HoD in our institution (University of Johannesburg) but till today we have never received any response from the HoD or HWSETA, and the year is almost over. Are our applications still in progress or our applications have been unsuccessful/declined? Your response will be highly appreciated.

      Kindly be informed that HWSETA does not select nor recruit beneficiaries on any funded programmes. The responsibility lies with the HWSETA registered Employers. HWSETA advertise funding to HWSETA funded employers on an annual basis and once they are approved for funding they advertise to recruit learners.

    I wish to know what to do if you already applied for WSP & ATR but the submitted button does not turn blue or green.Then if you tried to find the errors,it written your WSP for 2023 -2024 is already exist.       I wanted that it is possible to work 9 months without stipends. I’m asking because I have signed learnership with HWSETA under organizations or employers. But it’s 9 months now without stipends. And only two organizations got stipends for only 2 months.

        Kindly provide more details on your query. Stipend queries can not be generalised. Firstly we need to confirm if the Employer was approved for funding. Please provide the following information;

        1.The name of the Organisation : Employer ( Not an Individual)
        2. The name of the programme
        3. Duration of the programme. (start and end date)
        4. Province.
        5. Your Name and Surname \
        6. ID Number
