      Kindly note that HWSETA does not recruit studently directly. HWSETA advertise funding to HWSETA registered Employers and once they are approved for funding they advertise to recruit learners.

      Kindly be informed that HWSETA does not recruit learners on any funded programmes. HWSETA advertise funding on an annual basis to HWSETA registered employers and once they are approved for funding they recruit learners. HWSETA also administer partnerships with the public universities, and once they are approved for funding they select students. please note that HWSETA advertised in February 2021 to universities to apply for funding. You may also enquire with the department of social development on when do they advertise for such opportunities.

      Please note that I will send you the documents that elaborate more on how an Organisation can access funding at HWSETA. An Organisation must be registered with HWSETA as the Employer based on the primary focus of the Organisation.

    Are the HWSETA Bursaries still available for 2022?
    And if yes where do we apply

      Kindly note that HWSETA will advertise undergraduate bursary after board approvals, however HWSETA advertise to the universities and Employers (Department of Health and Social Development) and once they are approved for funding they advertise to recruit students. HWSETA does not recruit students directly for any funded programmes.

  9. Good day

    I am a registered nurse with post basic qualification in education and management . I would like to register as an assessor and moderator . Do I need to do generic course in assessor even when i hold a formal qualification in nursing education ? I have applied for assessor and moderator @ SANC and can I then register under HWSETA as such ? I would like to teach or offer HIV related course and how do I go about registering for the assessor/moderator and accreditation? please advise on these matters

      Kindly be informed that if you would like to be registered as an assessor OR moderator with HWSETA, yes you must have completed the generic courses for both assessor and moderator as soon as you receive the statement of results from the Skills Development Provider accredited by ETDP SETA then you can apply to be registered with HWSETA and the application is done online.

      Further, please note that the accreditation process is separate process.

    Good morning I would like to know that if the accreditation of institution has expired and intuition still operating we as students are we going to get our certificate or not I’m asking regarding INSTITUTION OF HEALTH CARE AND SOCIAL STUDIES

      Kindly note that if the accreditation of the institution has expired, a student should not enrol, if the accreditation expired after you have registered, the student can still receive the certificates provided the provider comply with the certification policy. Students are encouraged to verify the accreditation status of the private skills development providers before they register.
      Kindly provide the accreditation number of the institution to confirm if the college is still accredited, please send the details on hwseta@hwseta.org.za
