Regarding your second question, we can advise after we have been able to verify if the college is accredited in South Africa and recognized by South African Quality Authority. Also depending on the NQF level achieved, Employers have their own requirements and it will be difficult to generalise.

Please note that each country have their own compliance requirements in terms of evaluating foreign qualifications. The response cannot be generalized.

HWSETA advertise funding on an annual basis to HWSETA registered employers and once they are approved for funding they recruit learners. HWSETA also administer partnerships with the public universities, and once they are approved for funding they select students. please note that HWSETA advertised in February 2021 to universities to apply for funding. You may also enquire with the department of social development on when do they advertise for such opportunities.

I would advise that you check if Dynamic Health institute is accredited with QCTO to offer Health Promotion Officer (HPO). If so, you may opt for the HPO. Find more information about the HPO then make a decision. If you were to do a skills programmes completed before the accreditation come to an end, it would have been a different case.

Thank you for the email, kindly be informed that a college can only be accredited with HWSETA if the college offer qualifications, Skills programmes or learning programmes linked to HWSETA.
We checked the name on the HWSETA data base using the system and we could not find the name, however you may request their accreditation number and send it via email not this platform. Email is: hwseta@hwseta.org.za to check using the accreditation number for accuracy purposes.
Regarding your second question, we can advise after we have been able to verify if the college is accredited in South Africa and recognized by South African Quality Authority. Also depending on the NQF level achieved, Employers have their own requirements and it will be difficult to generalise.

HWSETA advertise funding on an annual basis to HWSETA registered employers and once they are approved for funding they recruit learners. HWSETA also administer partnerships with the public universities, and once they are approved for funding they select students. please note that HWSETA advertised in February 2021 to universities to apply for funding. You may also enquire with the department of social development on when do they advertise for such opportunities.

I understand that HWSETA does not recruit students directly.
However, the registered Nursing college we are wanting to apply to with intention to apply for bursary, has indicated that there is no assurance that they will be getting funding from you as the 2021 intake did not receive funding. How do we find out from HWSETA if funding has indeed been granted to a college or if it will receive funding in future? They are a very reputable nursing college and if they received funding, it would assist many young students in our city to pursue their dreams. (we understand that we may not receive a bursary, but there are a group of us all wanting to apply in this manner and there are a few that are not financially able, but their results and aptitude are incredible)
