REQUEST FOR PLACING AN ADVERT TO APPOINT SME’S FOR THE MARKERS AND MODERATORS FOR THE OCCUPATIONAL QUALIFICATION HEALTH PROMOTION OFFICER (HPO AT NQF 3 WITH SAQA ID 94597 AND 163 CREDITS

MARKERS REQUIREMENTS:

 ·         A team of five (05) Markers with a minimum requirement of a Diploma in Health Sciences, Health Promotion or Public Health.

·         A minimum of 2 years occupational experience in health sector.

·         A minimum of 2 years in marking or assessing assessments for Health Promotion, Community Health Work related programmes.

·         A minimum of two (2) contactable references in Health Promotion or Public Health

 INTERNAL MODERATION OF MARKING REQUIREMENTS:

 ·      One (01) Moderator with a minimum requirement of an Honours degree in Health Sciences, Health Promotion or Public Health

·      A minimum of two (02) years in moderating and assessing assessment for Health Promotion or Community Health Work or any related programme.

·      A Minimum of two (2) reference letters for moderation and assessment work conducted in the Health Promotion or Public Health

·      Be registered with any recognised professional health body (e.g., HPCSA, SANC, etc)

 

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS TO ACCOMPANY THE APPLICATION:

  • Application letter (clearly specifying what one is applying for)
  • Written confirmation that no registered learners on the system enrolled to write EISA for this qualification for the duration of the contract (June 2026 to June 2027).
  • Curriculum Vitae (CV) reference to markers and moderator requirements.
  • Recently Certified copies of all qualifications
  • Proof of registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD)
  • A valid Tax pin
  • A valid B-BBEE certificate
  • An SBD form
  • Quotation of the required services (Completion of attached quotation template)
  • Service level agreement between the project implementer/moderator and the company Director (if the project implementer is not the director of the company).

Note that HWSETA is not allowed to appoint Service Providers/Directors  who are in the service of State

FUNCTIONALITY REQUIREMENTS

 Note: that bids will be evaluated on functionality separately first. Bids scoring less that 70% on functionality will not be further considered in the evaluation and will be disqualified.

Criteria 2:Occupational Experience in Health Sector

 

Moderator: (15 points)

2.1 One (01)  Moderator with minimum of  2yrs occupational experience in health sector

15 points for 2yrs experience and  more

0 points for less than two (2)   years’ experience

 

Marker: (15 points)

2.2 Five (05) Markers with 2yrs occupational experience in health sector   15 points for 2yrs experience and            more (three points for each marker)

0 points for less than two (2)   years’ experience per marker

Criteria 3: (Project Implementor/Moderator)

Registration with relevant professional Health body(e.g. HPCSA,SANC, etc

10 points for one (1) or more professional registration

0 points for no registration

4.1 Two signed and dated reference letters on marking and  moderation of assessments

3,75 points  per reference letter

 

0 points for no reference letters

 

Markers: (7.5 points)

Two contactable references on marking and  of assessment

0,75 points  per contactable reference per marker

0 points for no contactable references per marker

Criteria 5 : Experience in Marking and Moderation

 

Moderator: (7.5 points)

A minimum of two (02) years in marking and moderating assessments

7,5 points for two years and above

 

0 points for less than two (2)   years

 

Markers: (7.5 points)

A minimum of two (02) years in marking of assessments

1,5 points  per marker for two years and above
