When a provider is accredited with HWSETA, can extend the scope of accreditation internally and externally.
INTERNALLY
Extension of scope internally occurs when an accredited training provider wants to add more programmes that falls within HWSETA. There is an attached form labeled “HWSETA learning programme evaluation form” that you can complete in order to extend your scope of accreditation internally. The submission of this form is also done in cycles.
EXTERNALLY
Extension of scope externally occurs when an accredited provider wants to add more programmes form other ETQA’s. To extend scope of accreditation externally you send a letter or email to Provider Accreditation sub-division indicating the details of your organization, accreditation number, the ETQA you want to extend to and the programme you want. The programme must indicate the unit standard or qualification details.
HWSETA will then liaise with that particular ETQA for extension of scope and that relevant ETQA will then send you their learning programme evaluation form.
NOTE
Extension of scope externally can be done if and only if the is a signed MoU between HWSETA and that particular ETQA.
Below is the list of the MoU’s we have with other ETQAs. We are currently in the process of reviewing all the existing MoUs.
